Idea for safe sex

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of teenagers and youngsters who have been affected by sexually transmitted diseases. Researchers have shown that most of the people who have their first sexual experience are at a very young age of 15 or 16. It has been reported that there are increasing number of sexually transmitted diseases in the teenagers.

Studies have shown that party and other kind of mass gatherings such as games and live shows stimulate the behavior of youngster involving them into illicit drug use, alcohol consumption, and subsequently risky sexual behaviors. These factors are responsible for increase in unprotected sexual intercourse in the youngsters.

A study showed that 25% of the girls between the age of 14 to 21 who had unplanned pregnancies were drinking when they had sex and out of these more than 90% did had not thought of having sex. The number of teenage boys involved in drinking, drugs and sex together id about 30%. The number of teenagers engaging into drugs and taking alcohol is also a great concern as it is a major factor for the rise of teen pregnancy.

Statistics on teen pregnancy show that there is strong relationship between use of drugs and alcohol and multiple sex partners. Teens having sex when they get drunk or are taking drugs is one common reason for the increasing rate of teen pregnancy and STD. Not only that many teenagers and even adults not know how to use a condom. The increasing number of teen having sex and unprotected sex with multiple partners has led to an increase in teenage HIV victims.

As such there should be campaigns in such a way that the youngsters are aware of there acts and even in a party atmosphere have control over them and go for safe sex. Safe sex programs should be encouraged to create awareness among the youngsters. Too much drinking and the use of drugs should be discouraged.

Sex education should be focused in schools and awareness should be created among students on the use of condoms for safe sex. Schools should organize safe sex quiz for students to increase interest among them and provide the information they need to know.

Not only teenagers but all need to be made aware of the sexually transmitted diseases. Most of the people need to be educated on how to have safe anal sex and safe oral sex. The idea is to create awareness on safe sex and inform them on safe sex methods. Conversing on sex is a difficult one but people should not hesitate and open up. Generally people feel shy to talk about the use of condoms as they know that they are going to be laughed at. People should not hesitate to talk about condoms and above that the ones who know about it should seriously talk about it so that nobody feels shy. Off course you can have a light joke about it but never let the person questioning feel embarrassed. When you talk about the use of condoms you are giving very important information to your friend and doing good work as the listener will be protected in some way from the knowledge you impart. Moreover the way you reply will also encourage your other friends to open up and talk frankly about the condoms. There won’t be any taboos about condoms and the use of it.
